According to all the experts I follow on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, Gideon is crushing his developmental milestones! This little superstar can sit up on his own for a while, scoot around on his belly, and roll all over like a lively little roly-poly! He’s also starting to hold his own bottle and loves reaching out to grab everything in sight. I couldn’t be more proud of him!

But here’s the thing — I’ve started to realize that very soon, my little boy will surpass me in his physical abilities. It’s so humbling to think that he’ll be walking and running when I never quite hit those milestones myself. Just the other day, my mom and I were laughing about how at seven months old, I was just lying on the floor like a tiny potato.

Even though I didn’t reach those milestones myself, watching Gideon explore the world through movement is truly inspiring! The moral of this story? Even if you’re not in the same place as someone you love, don’t be petty or jealous — celebrate their progress and be proud of their journey! As well as your own. God’s timing is perfect just remember that!
